We are taking a first look at the highly anticipated Ultre shape, the newest addition to the 11Six24 Power 2 Series.

Why the "Flat-Top" Hybrid Shape Matters

The flat-top hybrid is a seriously underrated design in pickleball, and it is great to see brands like Enhance, Chorus, and now 11Six24 bringing it to the forefront.

In the Power 2 lineup, 11Six24 offers two hybrid shapes—the Vapor and the Ultre—but they serve entirely different purposes:

  • The Vapor: Shorter than a typical hybrid, it is the ideal transition paddle if you are coming from a widebody shape but want a bit more reach and a top-heavy feel.

  • The Ultre: This is the perfect transition for players who love the playstyle of an elongated paddle but want a larger sweet spot and better stability. While you sacrifice a tiny bit of reach and raw power compared to a traditional elongated face, you gain massive advantages in hand battles and reset dinks.

On-Court Feel, Spin, and Performance

If you’ve played with other paddles in the Power 2 series, the Ultre will feel familiar. It features a dense, high-dwell face that avoids the hollow sensation common in floating EPP paddles. Spin remains absolutely elite thanks to the ultra-gritty hex texture.

For firepower the pop was similar to the Vapor while the overall firepower was higher than both the Vapor and Hurache

The Metrics (Stock Form)

  • Swingweight: 114 (very close to the Hurache)

  • Twistweight: 6.55 (higher, landing it in the average range for a stable hybrid)

My Custom Tuning Plan: To maximize the stability on this shape, I plan on adding 3-gram strips of 1-gram-per-inch tuning tape at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions on the frame—a setup that has worked beautifully on my Enhance MPP Turbo.

The Verdict & Power 2 Shape Rankings

The Ultre fills a much-needed gap for players who want more aggression than the Vapor can provide, but crave a better sweet spot than the Hurache offers. It has quickly claimed the throne in my personal rankings for the series:
