Volair Shift & Enhance Duo Comparison Testing
Hey guys today we’re doing another live gameplay testing and comparison video with the focus being on widebodies. For this play session, the main two paddles we’ll be taking a look at are the new Volair Shift Widebody and the Enhance Duo Widebody with the two benchmark paddles being the Pickleball Apes Charm V for the all court, and the Selkirk Boomstik for the power option. All right let’s get into it

All right now that I’m back home, let’s do some closing thoughts. So first for the Shift, I think it’s too early for me to give any meaningful thoughts on this paddle. I plan on adding weight for the next sessions since the swingweight did come in pretty low at 105 with a twistweight of 7.30. I imagine it will be like the C45 and Quantas where I’ll need to add some weight to bring out the performance so the current plan is to tape up all four corners and then compare it against some other foam widebodies after. Right now it’s just too light and the overall firepower isn’t quite at the level I was expecting but the ball feel is pretty solid
For the Duo, this one is what you would expect from the widebody variant. Shorter reach with lower overall power but it is poppier off the face compared to the elongated. Though it’s got a more manageable swingweight than the elongated and is more beginner friendly as the swingweight we got was 112 and the twistweight was 7.35. Compared to something like the Loco or V-Sol Pro Bloom, it is a step lower in firepower and doesn’t have that hollow feedback of the former two but it still is firmly a power paddle. Again it’s what you would expect from the widebody version of the Duo so if the feel of the original elongated version sounded good but you wanted it in a more forgiving shape, then you will enjoy this one.
All right that’s it for this playtest of the widebody paddles, hope you guys enjoyed it and let me know what you guys think in the comments below.
