Head‑to‑Head: 11Six24 Ultre Power 2 vs. Enhance Turbo MPP Hybrid

Flat‑top hybrid paddles have started gaining in popularity, and for good reason — they offer a compelling middle ground between elongated reach and traditional control. In this installment of the Head to Head series, we’re putting two of the most talked‑about hybrids on the market against each other: the 11Six24 Ultre Power 2 and the Enhance Turbo MPP Hybrid.

Let’s dive in.

Why Flat‑Top Hybrids?

Flat‑top hybrid shapes have quickly become one of my personal favorites. They play like a more balanced, more controllable version of elongated paddles. You give up a bit of reach and raw aggression, but you gain maneuverability, forgiveness, and stability — a trade‑off that works especially well for players like me who love elongated paddles but want a touch more control.

Specs & Dimensions

Before we get into feel and performance, here’s how the two paddles stack up on paper:

  • Ultre Power 2: 16.35" × 7.65"

  • Turbo MPP Hybrid: 16.3" × 7.7"

That’s only a 0.05" difference in length, but the width difference matters. The Ultre comes in with a swingweight of 114 and twistweight of 6.65, while the Turbo sits at 115 and 6.85 respectively.

Even though the Ultre is slightly longer, 11Six24 managed to keep it lighter, resulting in nearly identical swingweights. The Turbo’s extra width, however, gives it a theoretical edge in stability.

But how does that translate on court?

Surprisingly, during my playtests, I didn’t feel a meaningful difference in sweet spot size or stability. I used the same weight setup on both paddles — 3" strips of 1 g/in tuning tape at 3 and 9 o’clock — and could switch between them seamlessly. If anything, the Ultre felt a bit more aggressive, but overall the two played more similarly than the numbers suggest.

Paddle Feel

Both paddles use MPP foam cores with an EVA ring, but the feel is dramatically different.

Enhance Turbo MPP Hybrid

  • Classic “MPP thonk” sound

  • Lighter, stiffer feel

  • More fiberglass sensation

  • Less dwell time

  • Reminiscent of a poppier, stiffer Luzz Inferno

11Six24 Ultre Power 2

  • Denser, more solid feel

  • Less of the typical MPP sensation

  • More ball grab

  • More dwell time

If you prefer a crisp, lively response, the Turbo leans that way. If you like a denser, more connected feel, the Ultre delivers that experience.

Power Comparison

This category goes to the Ultre Power 2.

Even with similar swingweights, the Ultre offers noticeably more plow‑through on drives and serves. Despite feeling denser (and the Turbo feeling stiffer), the Ultre produced more pop off the face in real gameplay. It doesn’t necessarily feel like the more powerful paddle, but the ball response says otherwise.

Spin Performance

This one isn’t a fair fight.

  • Ultre Power 2: UPA‑approved, long‑lasting Hexgrit surface

  • Turbo MPP Hybrid: USAP‑approved, good spin but less durable and lower RPM potential

The Ultre’s rougher, more durable texture gives it a clear advantage in spin generation.

Which One Do I Prefer?

Both paddles are excellent and easily among the best hybrids available today. But if I had to choose one for my own bag, I’m going with the Enhance Turbo MPP Hybrid.

Why?

  • I connected better with its lighter MPP feel

  • It offered control without being overly poppy

  • The Ultre’s extra dwell and power were harder for me to control

This ultimately came down to feel, not performance metrics.

Which One Should You Choose?

Here’s how I’d break it down for consumers:

Choose the Ultre Power 2 if:

  • You want more power

  • You prefer a denser, more solid feel

  • You want long‑lasting spin from Hexgrit

  • You need UPA approval

Choose the Turbo MPP Hybrid if:

  • You prefer a lighter, softer MPP feel

  • You want easier control and maneuverability

  • You’re looking for a budget‑friendly option (nearly half the price)

  • You need USAP approval

Final Thoughts

There’s no universal “best paddle” — only the best paddle for you. Both the Ultre Power 2 and the Turbo MPP Hybrid are top‑tier hybrids with different strengths. If you can, try both and let feel guide your decision.
