Volair Shift WB & Enhance Duo Widebody

First off thank you to Jacob from AllDriveNoDrop for letting me borrow his widebody Volair Shift so I could make content. Volair didn’t have any models for me to review at this time so Jacob was nice enough to let me use one of the 3 he got.

So here are some thoughts I’ve been hearing people mention about the Volair Shifts: denser feel, similar to the Six Zero Black Opal, and smaller sweet spot.

From initial impressions, I definitely see the Black Opal comparisons, it’s not hollow feeling like the floating EPP cores but instead it did have that denser feel of the Black Opal. I do think the Opal is denser feeling with more of a trampoline rebound and the Shift isn’t at that level yet.

Also for firepower, I found the Shift to be more of a control paddle. It was maybe slightly higher in power than my Charm V but it was honestly pretty close and it was no where near the firepower levels of the Black Opal. I actually think comparing the Shift to the widebody Coral may be a better comparison.

Though we do have to remember that the Shift is a 14mm not a 16mm paddle and for swingweight mine came in pretty light at 105 so I do plan on adding weight to see if the gameplay changes. It’s definitely an interesting release that I look forward to hitting more

Now the Duo widebody, this one is what I expected to be honest. It’s basically the Duo in widebody form with a bit more pop off the face. So if you were interested in the feel of the Duo but didn’t want an elongated paddle, this is the one to go for unless you want to wait for the hybrid option
